To hob or not to hob, that is the question

Hobless showers are very on-trend. They are featured in most of the TV home reno shows. They create a streamline, sleek entrance to your shower, without a lip or step. Easy access for younger and older people alike.

Designed correctly, they will not create a water hazard in the bathroom as some might expect. Even though there might not be a hob to contain the water, if the bathroom is designed and tiled correctly, water will not be an issue.

Going hobless also means you can add a beautiful frameless or semi-frameless shower screen or panel. Yes, you might pay a little bit more in the long run for this type of screen/panel as opposed to the old fashioned hinged, stainless framed shower screen, but not many of us renovate our bathrooms on a regular basis. So get what you want the first time, so you don't have any regrets. It has to be what you want and has to last around 10 years. Don't be unhappy with the result, if all it was going to cost you was a few hundred dollars extra.

So don't be afraid to venture down this path for a modern look bathroom or ensuite.
