Concealed cistern toilets

There is no doubt that a concealed cistern toilet is discreet and very stylish. They create sleek lines and takes up a lot less space, not to mention less toilet to clean!

They can be placed on the floor or can be wall-hung.

This style of toilet is certainly gaining popularity in bathroom renovations, but like anything its important to weigh up the pros and cons.

Pros

A very modern and up to date (excuse the pun) toilet will add to the resale value of your home. The fact that the ugly, bulky cistern is concealed means there is more space to manoeuvre and less area to clean.

Cons

If by chance the toilet breaks down and needs some repair, the problem is usually in the cistern. Now in this case, the cistern is in the wall!

Its not impossible to fix, but you need to be aware that not only will a concealed cistern toilet be more expensive up front, but also any running repairs down the track will cost more as the plumber will be spending more time accessing the area.

So take these points into consideration when planning your bathroom remodel. Think about all the options available and also think ahead.
